INTRODUCTION

Welcome to Jourlo! These Terms of Use govern your use of the Jourlo mobile application. By downloading, accessing, or using Jourlo, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By creating an account and using Jourlo, you confirm that:

• You are at least 13 years old
• You have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement
• You will comply with these Terms of Use and all applicable laws
• All information you provide is accurate and up-to-date

2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE

Jourlo is a personal journaling and habit-tracking app designed to help you:

• Write daily journal entries
• Track your moods and emotions
• Monitor and build positive habits
• Analyze patterns in your daily life
• Improve self-awareness and productivity

The app is provided "as is" and we reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

3. USER ACCOUNTS

Account Creation:

To use Jourlo, you must create an account using:

• Email and password
• Apple Sign-In
• Google Sign-In

Account Security:

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account information.

4. SUBSCRIPTIONS AND PAYMENTS

Subscription Plans:

Jourlo offers the following subscription options:

• Yearly Subscription: Billed annually
• Lifetime Access: One-time payment for permanent access

Payment Terms:

• All payments are processed securely through Apple In-App Purchase
• We use a trusted third-party service (RevenueCat) to manage subscription status, entitlements, and analytics related to purchases
• RevenueCat does not process payments directly — Apple handles all billing and refunds
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's App Store settings
• Prices are subject to change with prior notice

Refunds:

Refund requests are handled by Apple according to their refund policy. We do not directly process refunds. Contact Apple Support for refund inquiries.

5. USER CONTENT AND CONDUCT

Your Content:

All journal entries, habits, moods, and personal data you create in Jourlo remain yours. This content is stored locally on your device and is not accessible to us.

Prohibited Uses:

• Use the app for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or compromise the app's security
• Use automated systems (bots, scripts) to access the app
• Interfere with or disrupt the app's functionality
• Impersonate others or provide false information
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

VIOLATION OF THESE TERMS MAY RESULT IN IMMEDIATE ACCOUNT SUSPENSION OR TERMINATION.

6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content, features, and functionality of Jourlo—including but not limited to design, graphics, text, code, and software—are owned by Jourlo and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute any part of the app
• Create derivative works based on Jourlo
• Use our trademarks, logos, or branding without permission

7. PRIVACY AND DATA

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data. Key points:

• Journal entries and habit data are stored locally on your device
• We only collect email and name for authentication
• We never sell your data
• You can export or delete your data at any time

8. DISCLAIMERS

Service Availability:

We strive to keep Jourlo available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The app may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues.

Accuracy of Information:

While we aim to provide accurate analytics and insights, Jourlo's features are based on the data you input. We make no guarantees about the accuracy or completeness of any insights generated by the app.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Jourlo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app
• We are not responsible for data loss (back up your data regularly)
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the subscription

10. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify and hold Jourlo harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the app
• Your violation of these Terms of Use
• Your violation of any third-party rights

11. TERMINATION

By You:

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon deletion:

• Your account data (email and name) will be removed from our servers within 30 days
• Journal data stored on your device will remain until you delete the app
• Active subscriptions will continue until the end of the billing period

By Us:

• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:
• Violate these Terms of Use
• Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
• Abuse the app or harm other users

12. CHANGES TO TERMS

• We'll update the "Effective Date" at the top
• We'll notify you via the app or email
• Continued use of Jourlo means you accept the updated terms

If you don't agree with the changes, please stop using the app and delete your account.

13. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Morocco. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with Moroccan law. If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
